Retinal laser surgery
Retinal laser surgery is a non-invasive treatment method used to repair retinal damage and prevent the progression of eye diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and retinal tears.
This method is effective for treating diabetic retinopathy. A powerful laser beam is focused on the damaged area of the retina. When the laser beam is directed at the damaged blood vessels, it causes them to close, thereby reducing the swelling in the center of vision. This treatment is also known as photocoagulation.
