Ptosis surgery is a surgical procedure performed to correct eyelid drooping. This operation is usually carried out under general anesthesia and takes approximately one hour. During ptosis surgery, the surgeon makes a small incision in the eyelid to access the levator muscle. The surgeon then shortens or strengthens the muscle to position the eyelid correctly.
